Love or Hate Google – and I know people who cling to their msn addresses, the company has done a lot to change the way we consume information. But for one young Australian,  Saroo Brierley, the best thing they did was Google Earth. Separated from his family at the age of five, adopted by a couple and raised in Australia, Saroo used Google Earth to fill in the gaps in his narrative.  You can read the full story at Vanity Fair, but his story told in this short film/ad for Google might just bring tears to your eyes.
